Hours per Week Flexible hours (may include evenings and weekends) – ongoing until January 31st. Start date: December 2016
Location Agora Bookstore, 145 Besserer, Ottawa, ON
Number of Positions Available 20-30

Tasks

  • Customer service, in person or by phone
  • Finding, retrieving and selling the correct course materials for students
  • Answer questions students may have about their course materials
  • Operating our cash register and system, cash handling and float balancing
  • Restocking and cleaning
  • Help promote a positive image of the Agora Bookstore specifically and the SFUO in general
  • Other tasks related to the position

Requirements

  • Bilingual in the two official languages of the University of Ottawa
  • Punctual and outgoing
  • Able to work well and remain professional and friendly under pressure
  • Able to create a positive work environment for colleagues
  • Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and tact
  • Excellent communication skills in order to effectively promote the Agora Bookstore and the SFUO in general
  • University of Ottawa students preferred

*** Knowledge of the SFUO, its services, businesses, clubs, associations and activities is an asset
