Welcome

Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year!
The Pride Centre of the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa is a safe place to celebrate sexual diversity—whether that means sexual orientation, identity, preferences, practices or philosophies.

Our mission
We are here to foster a community of tolerance, respect and acceptance of all individuals, both on and off campus.

At the Pride Centre, you can

  • make friends
  • network
  • engage in cross-community dialogue
  • access a wide range information, experiences and resources.

We have fun and support each other through games, discussions, workshops, providing resources, and other social activities.

Getting involved
We have many opportunities for you to get involved: through our mailing list, our pool of volunteers, our social and discussion groups, our ally program and our new mentorship program, Buddy Up With Pride!

Confidentiality
Whether you're just curious, looking to meet new people, or starting to come out to your friends and family, we understand that your privacy is important. The Pride Centre has an inflexible policy of confidentiality:

  • Anything that you say in the Centre will be kept strictly confidential
  • The staff and volunteers will not share the identity of any person who accesses our services
  • No one will ask you to disclose your sexuality: not to a staff member, a volunteer, a member or to anyone else
